somthing i did not know , but earthworms can live underwater ?
i used to have a largemouth bass that i would feed worms. i guess he missed one and it crawled into the gravel. anyways the bass isnt in there anymore and evrytime i clean the tank i find the worm burried in gravel somwhere and its alive. so its been living underwater for a month now in a 30g aquarium. :WHOA:

i wondered the same thing because i feed my axolotl worms and i wondered if i could leave some in there to let him "hunt" them. but that's cool that its been alive so long underwater. i saw a post about some sort of worm that lived underwater by knifegill but i kinda forgot about it until now. maybe he will know something.

yeah i have like a compost pile where i dump grass and stuff then i dig in it for worms i havent had anyproblems with it yet. and i guess they can live in the water cause it has lots of oxygen and no soil trying to decompose it. also i never see the worm till i clean the tank so unless your fish digs through gravel for food i doubt it will get eaten

Oh yeah, I have had several worms get into my outside pond, the walls are almost vertical so they can't get out, they will stay in there for a while until I think my goldfish or koi get bored and chew on them for a while.

Slugs don't fare as well though... :)

afetr it rains arent all those worms dead from drowning? im confused

i personally buy my worms as its safer because you run the risk of getting a worm that has been exposed to pesticides and chemicals if you just grab them from outside. but to each his own. also, an axolotl isn't a fish.

i thought the same thing but i guess it might be that they cant live in mud because they will rot in it, maybe it has to be just moist im not really sure. but i also noticed the worm isnt slimy it has no slime on it at all ? and sorry i assumed axolotl was a fish haha i googled it and thats a crazy looking salamander/frog lol
