The double taps will make servicing your filter so much easier.

My intake tubes are located behind my background so the pics wouldn't be helpful. On one 2260, I have the spraybar located on the short end of the tank. On the 2262, I made a 70" long spray bar that is mounted on the front of the tank.

Here is a pic during a water change

wow thanks :")

I made a DIY intake J-tube using PVC pipe & fittings to replace the original parts that came with the filter. You would just need to buy the appropriate size for your filter.

Here is a pic of what I did. I really like it better than the original equipment.

This also allowed me to use the original intake strainer, as it fit the PVC pipe perfectly.

Hi the white pvc pipe are you using 25/34mm (1 inch) as well, for the joint is that what they called elbow joint.
Do I need to apply glue for the joint as well? I'm thinking of diy my 2260 intake as well.

No, it is 3/4" PVC. I used 90° elbows with a short length of 3/4" pipe to connect them together. ALL the PVC is solvent welded using the appropriate glue/solvent. You definitely do not want a slip or friction fit on the output piping or connections.

Well the hose is 1" and the 3/4" PVC Schedule 40 pipe will slip into the hose if you warm up the hose with hot water first. Does that make sense?
