Eheim Tanks?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was at my local pet smart and for an outrageously cheap price they had an Eheim 47g rimless aquarium. It was cheaper than they sell traditional 40g breeders.

I’m wondering if these tanks are any good? It was in a box so I couldn’t actually see it.

If it's made by ehiem I'd trust it. And if its cheaper than a regular 40b I'd get it.

Eheim seems to be making Top Fin’s canister filters as well now. Atleast that’s what the box says.

I just don’t want it to be a situation like Home Depot does with Bosch or Kohler. Back when I was a carpenter, if you walked into Home Depot and bought a Bosch drill, it was not the same quality as a Bosch still you bought at a tool store. Same with Koehler. So it wouldn’t be unheard of for a company, especially one like Eheim to do that.

Also, if you do a google search, back in 2013-2015 people were complaining Eheim was outsourcing to China.

So I’m still a little weary. I have to look at the thing in person.

I get what your saying... I remember the old rena filters were pretty good and then when api took over the quality wasnt the greatest.

I wish my Petsmart sold Eheim tanks. Local guys don't carry anything over the odd Marineland 75 and that's across three locations.
