Thank you so much, again. ;) This tank could use a ladies touch, I want it to look classy for my wife. She is a doll and really supportive. The tank is in or dining room and like you and I talked about, the goal on this one will be to have NO equipment showing what so ever. No returns, nothing.

So you don't have to try and find em, here are pics of the DBN "river stump" for that tank. I just dug it out from behind the 300g and snapped these for you..

The stump area is where we will hide the plumbing for the canisters?? Not sure I'm starting from scratch on this tank. I only have the sand, cycled sponge filters, the fish and a fugly 120g to sell for some setup $$$.

I am leaving in about 30 minutes to go get all the supplies needed to install the mangrove BG!!! I sold that 55 gallon and a pump today so I gotz play (supplies) $$$ :headbang2

I ordered that same stump background from Matt last week. Should be here on the 5th. How's it look in-person?
I like it allot. My wife picked out that BG and it's her fav tank/fish. No pressure... :nilly: LMK if there are any areas you want me to take close up pics or measure or whatever, I know how it is. (BTW when you get this BG the back will be black and shiny. Flip it around before yelling at Matt for sending the wrong BG. ;) been there, done that lol...)

I just got back from my swag run :headbang2 I got everything but "truck tie downs" I could think of. Hopefully 6 cans of pond foam is enough. Tasks for tonight is finishing the 120 gallon underside plumbing for the FX5 and plumbing the 10 gallon's FBF.

Yeah this is the filter for the 10 gallon (on the right, just testing the pump on this tank). I have two and want to play with one REALLY bad so off to over-filter a 10 gallon it goes... pics on that setup tomorrow.

A few pics from last night. The finished pics are still on the camera (charging for a couple hours :irked:) As always, I try and keep as much plumbing soft line as possible.

P1010307.JPG

Tip for younger members, when your working with soft tubing throw it in the microwave for 1 minute or so (without the metal hose clamps of course) ;) and is softens it up really well. Makes working with hose barbs a breeze.

P1010317.JPG

A hack saw cuts through even the thickest rubber like butta after a bit in the microwave. :naughty:

P1010321.JPG

Two most important pieces I kept forgetting to buy.. The hose barbs for reducing 1 1/4" ID reduced to 1" ID and the hose barb that reduced 1" ID to 3/4" ID.

Get basic idea.. Missing all the 90's in this pic.

more in a sec..

The bulkhead fittings (again, pound sand Aqueon..! :thumbsdow ) are 1 1/4" ID for the dual intakes. The dual returns are 3/4" ID and I plan to mount an 18w UV and 300w Rena inline heater directly on the stand..

P1010309.JPG

Using these I have everything plumbed to 1" ID to match up with the FX5 in/out fittings.

P1010305.JPG

P1010307.JPG

On the returns, I left as much 3/4" ID as I could so I can cut it and add the UV and an inline heater. That however I didn't get done last night.

P1010310.JPG

P1010311.JPG

P1010312.JPG

This is where I am splicing in the 1" ID "T" fittings to sync up with the FX5 fittings. You get the idea.

Aaaannnndddd then my camera died... :irked: I'll have the finished pics in a couple hours sorry guys.

DAMMIT! I can't get the dang pic to embed.

Not trying to step on any toes, but does that background stump kind of look like a foot to anyone else?

Gonna be interesting to see full tank shots when they are all done.

Going to be ordering my glass for my 300 fridayish. Think they make a 72x32? lol. Then again the background would probably cost as much as my tank total.
