Red Sea CO2 Reactor 200
$18.99
Pros: Easy mounting, check valve and bubble counter integrated.
Cons: Half the bubbles it releases are very tiny and exactly what I was looking for, but the other half are way too large for any real diffusion(bigger even than that of a standard airstone) and they go straight to the water's surface and are wasted. These larger bubbles are from CO2 escaping between the micro bubble diffuser plate and the rubber o-ring. I tried reassembling it several times(even tried adding another o-ring that I had on hand) but could not get it to stop letting the co2 escape. I would not recommend this product at all. It does for $18.99 what an airstone will do for $1.00.

Hagen CO2 reactor kit
19.99
Decent for a beginning intro to co2 for a small planted tank. Pretty decent design, very similar to a DIY design.
PRO: Cheap cost relatively speaking, and ease of use. Good diffusion ladder.
CON: expensive for the design. Not able to do an aquarium larger than 30 gallons effectively.

Can i use yeast in this instead of using their tablet things that cost 7 bucks!? Because on the website http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=8981&Nty=1&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=All&pc=1&N=0&Ntt=hagen%20co2&Np=1 under more information u still have to add sugar to the mix so would i be able to use yeast instead of the tablets they provide?
