Exotic Coldwater Fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i just did :) regardless of that, snakeheads are by far the most interesting and advanced fish in freshwater. Their behavior is interesting and great. Most native north american fish are boring crap. The only interesting so far is amia calva. The rest is no loss. Thats my opinion.

That's your opinion, but clearly nobody here or maybe even elsewhere shares it :D Never can any snakehead be more interesting than sturgeon ;)

amia would be an option tough. Make your pond triassic.
Of course bowfin makes a great pondmate in small ponds but when they are in the pond at that size and all natural, you can't see them very much.

there are a lot of cold water exotics, some I'm bringing in

elopicthys bambusa
pelteobagrus usurriensis
leiocassis longirostris
siniperca scherzeri
triplophys siluroides gets to 30 plus inches loach
and many more.
fugupuff were are you located could you get any of the fish listed for me?
