So i have 7 amazing colored koi angelfish. they are now a little bigger than quarter size but i want them to grow faster! I have the temp at 84 and am feeding them 4-5 times a day with angelfish flakes and frozen bloodworms. Anything else i can do to make them grow faster? Maybe raise the temp more? Any special growth food you all use?

How many water changes a week do you suggest? They are in a 46 gallon, they have been going pretty fast, but i want them to grow as fast as possible!

Cool, i usually do a 35-40% weekly change. They are doing great and always begging me for food, i just have no patience to wait for them to grow.

You'll find breeders often perform large water changes by as much as 80% daily for their own stocks. Can't hurt to try 50% twice a week. This will depend on how much you are feeding though and the amount of wastes excreted by the fish.

I was doing 75% every other day and my angel fry grew fairly quick. A good balanced diet is essential also.

Hi.. Over the years I've noticed that with most cichlids including angels and discus.. a varied diet and lots of water changes seem to help them grow bigger faster.. I would do at least 50% at least twice a week.. 7 in a 46 gallon is gonna get tight as they grow.. a lot of course depends on the tanks footprint and aquascape.. are you planning on just keeping a pair or upgrading to a larger tank down the line?? Would love to see picks.. HTH Sue:D
