im looking to add more filtration on my 120 gallon tank. I noticed that tank only stays crystal clear for maybe a week after water change and am guessing I’m a little under filtered. I’m looking for a good canister filter for under 200. One that can hold the most amount of media for the price too so the media that you do change like carbon doesn’t need to be done too frequently. Thanks guys

Right now FX line are on sale at Petsmart. It's not listed on thier website but in store FX6 are only $199, that nearly half the normal cost.
That would be nice but I think an fx6 would just be too much flow for my setup

I run an FX6 plus a 600 gallon per hour Sunsun 704b with tons of bio on my 120 gallon. Not overkill if you have a decent bioload or want crystal clear water.

How do you like the SunSun? I’ve heard mixed reviews about them plus a lot of complaints about leaking ones.

I’ve been looking these up and doing research and kinda like them. My local pet smart has the fx4 for 200. What are you running for media? The stuff that comes with it or did you change some out?

I also put in two seasoned bags of the bio whatever's that come with AC110's to jump start it and what it comes with.

No issues. Does not move water like an fx4 or fx6 but holds lots of Bio. You can get two for under 200 bucks which would do the trick. I have a pretty high bio load in my tank....what are you keeping?? I have a Mata mata turtle in my 120 along with two 7" plecos, 5 SDollars, a 10-11" Lenticulata Pike and a huge sydont cat.
