lol ive done that in the past. LMB are very interesting fish to keep.

You guys are f@&#$!% rediculous. Your really going to admit to poaching? And no one cares? People like you shouldn't be able to fish, or keep fish, or have anything to do with any animals. Size limits and regulations are there for a reason, to protect our natural resources. If you cant respect that, then your worthless in my opinion.

Dude...chill... :nilly:
Negative opinions should be kept to themselves. :grinyes:
Not to sound like an a**, just trying to make a point. Things like this always end in arguements... Lets chill, relax, man. :woot: :)

Either way, nice looking Bass. I've seen a few Peacock and LMB combinations before. Very cool idea. ;)

funny seeing this. i just netted about 30 baby LMB earlier have them in my planted tank. They are still fry didnt wanna take the chance of missing them when they get bigger so im growing them out. Ive kept them and Peacocks before. My LMB was the same size but way more aggressive when feeding.

Yeah your right, it was wrong of me to think that poaching is bad :screwy:

I never thought I would see someone try to stand up for poachers... this site is really starting to lose its credibility. I see people on here all the time basically admiting to how they illegally aquired a fish, and no one ever seems to care. On this thread alone there are at least three people who have broken laws to get their bass, and thats ok? I'm the bad guy?

The wording was a little harsh....but the message is correct please do not violate your state laws while fish collecting, this can get you and this site in trouble and help harm your local ecosystem. The fines are hefty and in some areas include losing your fishing/hunting priveledges, fines and jail time.

I know the wording was a little harsh, but you have to understand that I've seen dozens of places that were once excellent fishing get diminished into nothing more than a mud hole because of people like those guys. People that don't give a damn about the ecosystem, people that keep everything they catch regardless of size or possession limits. It's really frustrating to me.

And no, I'm not one of those "release everything!" type of people. I love to eat fish and I have a native tank, but there are certain types of fish populations that can be damaged much more easily than others by over fishing. Black bass are one of those fish, because they generally are stocked in very small numbers compared to fish like trout, walleye, wiper, etc. Natural reproduction is often the only way bass stay in a body of water

So far so good. It's actually doing pretty well in my tropical tank and getting along better than I expected with the peacocks.:)

I empathize.
