Fish Blacklisted in South Africa

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah I've heard about Datnoids but have never seen any now I know why. Tbh I kinda if shocked about some of the species on the list.
South Africa usually does not allow trade with any endangered species though, you need a permit to have any of them in your possession.

Just joking and I can understand why most of those fish are listed given the climate in your area.It wouldn't take much for many of them to establish themselves in your waters and overtake the native species.By the way,do you know Hendre? He is another member here besides yourself who lives in South Africa.

Some of these fish have as much chance as living in s Africa as I have of living on saturn

I believe this is the old blacklist? The latest list classifies by Genus

We have met yes. The climate would allow for many fish to establish themselves

Hi Hendre Hendre , yes you are correct the above blacklist is old and no longer in force
Stingrays for example were already off the blacklist in 2014
