Great thread I read recently has some good info on feeders and nutrition. Had me reading up.
The Piranha Nutrition Thread
Also had me looking for Thiamine (B1) containing foods and good warning to me regarding freeze dried minnows/ thiaminase. Not sure the freeze dried process neutralizes this but have read that cooking does. So need to temper feeding these things (even though I stuff sticks in).
In any event I searched for large cichlid food (for the oscars and bass) containing thiamine. Didn't find much. I'm gonna try the jumbo sticks from Tetra. Good time to try some new stuff anyway as I'm running low on krill.
Seems the thiaminase problem is already impacting natural waters as well as aquariums.
Anyway, check out the old thread. Good stuff. Feel free to weigh in on the subject (knowledge best, opinions...eeh).
