I was doing a water change in this quarantine tank when one of the bigger rainbowfish that I was soon going to move over to main tank got stuck in this flower pot opening.
In retrospect, I think I should have posted for advice as he probably could have survived stuck for awhile while I figured things out
I wriggled him out which I now thing was the wrong method. I might b have been better trying to smash flower pot.
Anyway it's obvious his swim bladder is messed up among other injuries.
Should I just euthanize him? I hate seeing him suffer unless there's a smallchance
he could recover.
If I should what do I do? I know clove oil is best but I don't have any.
This has been a bad week for me. Lost a rummynose tetra two days ago bc it swallowed a giant piece of Mysis and I guess he couldn't digest/pass it.
I won't feed Mysis to this tank now. I threw out that flower pot and I'm going to remove this ceramic decoration in the main tank that a fish could get stuck in the future.
Thanks for any input. Also what do you think I should've done to get him out of pot opening?
