That is without a doubt a Hybrid of some sort. Definitely not an istlanum, grammodes, or salvini, at least a purely bred one. If I had to guess, I see some lyonsi in the coloration and pattern. Also a piscivore like a parachromis or perhaps even a jack Dempsey, in the face and mouth. Will be impossible to know exactly what it is, I'd just call it a hybrid. Interesting looking fish though

I was thinking the same or maybe Cichlasoma Grammodes .

here's my old pair preparing to spawn. Sold the male a few months ago he killed the female after this spawning.
