Had my kids' friend come over to play today. When I went downstairs to take a peek at the aquarium, I noticed 4 chips in the front glass of the tank. They're small chips, and the glass is an old Oceanic 55 gallon, so the glass is thicker than the average aqueon/perfecto tank, so I am not too concerned about it splintering.

Is there anything I can do to help reinforce the chips and make them less noticable?

I wish I knew what this kid did downstairs that managed to chip the front of a glass aquarium, not once, but 4 times.

I'll try and post a picture if I can find my camera and get a half decent shot of the damage.

Wow. That's too bad as far as I know with glass you can't really do anything but replace.

Ouch... that really sucks... maybe time to talk to said kids parents?

yeah, it's time to talk to the parents. But my own kids were down here playing with him, so I can't be 100% sure it wasn't one of my kids. I don't expect the chips to cause structural issues. But they're right in the front of the tank staring at me. Is there anything i can do to hide them. Should I fill them with epoxy just to strengthen them?

What about that epoxy they use for windshield chips

This, I used a type of epoxy on an old tank I had for some cosmetic chips. I think it was made by loctite, picked it up at home depot $6 or so.

True, guess unless you're sure its a bit difficult... but i have to say, thats why even when my niece comes over to my place i have to watch her like a hawk, coz she loves checking out my fish but sometimes can get a little too excited and start banging on the glass a bit...
