has anyone is keeping Indo Datnoid fish and Flagtail fish together.
I have seen may youtube videos datnoid and flagtail fish are living together in a same tank.

I recently added a flagtail fish around 3inches long to the datanoid tank (Datnoid is around 2.5 inches).
but it seems Datnoid it attacking to the Flagtail time to time.

Is there anything i can do? if i put Red parrot or Severum fish to the same tank, will the Datnoid stop attacking Flagtail?

Independent of behavior, flagtails (Semaprochilodus) come from full fresh, and relatively softer waters. DATs prefer very different water characteristics. Regardless of the videos out there, not compatible for good health.

I've not has an issue between the two. My Dat and dats in the past have always been good fish other than the one I have now sometimes has a chase of an aro twoce it size but it leads to nothing
Flagtail doesnt go near it and never has

Throw in an Asian aro and you have the holy trinity of "lucky" fish in Asia.
often see this combination here.

Depending on the size of the tank, age of the fish, it could just be them settling in and finding their place.

+1 for the Asian trinity, in Chinese it's known as "龍虎鳳" , which stands for dragon, tiger, and phoenix.
i see this combo work well in many Asian tanks, especially from my hometown around the eastern Chinese coast!
usually due to the nature of water space, the fish don't interact with each other but there have been issues that I've seen with flagtails that are a bit mean, and pick on the other two if equally sized. the problem becomes less apparent once the aro and tiger outgrow the flagtail as most species of both Datnioides and Arowana have a much larger max size than of Prochilodous

I personally keep this combo in my 250g tank with a red tail flag, northern Thailand tiger and a common silver arowana
