Anyone got any ideas on how fast Florida Bass can grow? I have a small backyard pond that's roughly 5000 gallons and has a base of live bluegill for forage, and I will be getting my hands on some genetic superstar Florida Bass that have proven DNA markers to grow to massive sizes. Fish are from Red Hills Fishery in Georgia, they're called Titan Maxx Bass. They will also get supplemental feedings of high protein pellets, tilapia fillets, live crawfish, shrimp, trout in the winter, etc. I will be getting the bass as fingerlings at 2-3" probably. Water temps in the summer are in the 80s, drops to the 60s in late October and gets in the 50s all winter till March when it gets back into the 60s and 70s by late April, lots of oxygen, clean water, etc. (pretty pristine conditions I think). Just curious what kind of growth in inches per month I could get in the first year? Trying to push the length as much as possible in the first few years so they can be well over 20 lbs down the line.
