I did the same breeding , but with a SRT X Super red ZZ Dragon. The Fry i kept are awesome fam, I got two faders so far from what I kepted. The rest are super pearlie, and strong flower lines and i got two who are blood red with black trim around the fins and crazy pearls! I love them I got four that are trying to pair off but I got them in dividers. I'll post pics later on tonight!

Hey Nice Texas and Flower Horn! Your new 4 in. Texas looks like the original texas (AKA:Rio Grande Perch) Great job on your first fry. Can you post some photos of them. I just got a Red Texas, which is a FH+Texas outcome. That is what you are going to end up getting. They are known as Red Texas Cichlids. Sometimes they can become really Red and turn out beautifule. I want to get a FH and breed it with my Red Texas. Here is a photo of mine. You can see hints of red in the dorsal fin and throut the body. Mainly his belly. He wasn't one of the lucky ones that end up RED. What are you going to do with your new fry (Red Texas)?
