My first time with flowerhorns, got this couple delivered 2 days ago and the female allready laid eggs 12 hours ago.

What's next? Do the eggs turn brown if fertilized or are they aready brownish? Do i move the pair into another tank now?
I have no brine shrimp, what are the easy alternates? When do the eggs hatch? When do i see wrigglers? I removed the filter already so how often do i do the water changes?

The couple has not eaten in the two days since they arrived, will they eat the eggs? I keep removing the uneaten pellets 4 hours after they dont eat it.

Here are some pics, i know the quality isn't great but can you id them for me?

Thanks

look closely at the eggs, if you see black spots, the eggs have been fertilized...usually hatch in 2-3 days depending on water temp. white milky looking eggs are unfertilized. Hikari makes a fry powder i have used in the past that worked well. it comes in small bags. they shouldnt have to eat until their yolk sacs have been absorbed and they are free swimming. I would def. cover any inlets to your filters if they hatch, as the filter will suck them up. good luck

I already removed the filter to avoid that. I have that container in the gallery and it has direct sunlight from 1pm to 6, am i supposed to shift them to a cooler place?

Any idea about the ID of these fishes?

use an airstone over the eggs for aeration
i would advise you to move the parents into another tank
normally if the eggs are fertilised they will look like something like this

after the eggs have hatched, the wrigglers will live with their yolk sac for atleast 2 or 3 days
after they become free swimmers and they don't have their yolk sac, you can feed hikari first bites
hope i answered all your questions bro

Thx guys, i will remove the parents tonight.

My only question is about the ID of the fish, guess i have to come with clear pics for that one.

Thx guys.

Some updates, the eggs are still the same colour, not brown or black spots or white. Both the parents are still in there, haven't eaten any eggs or fighting.

Btw i also got these, can you id/grade them please :)

i wouldn't advise you keeping both parents with the eggs

Because they would eat the eggs or start fighting? I can see the black spots on the eggs now :D

If i seperate them do i keep them together in another tank or seperate them? They seem to be taking turns to fan the eggs.

Im leaving the city for 35 hours, what do u suggest i do in the meantime?

Sorry for all the noob questions.
