Flowerhorn eggs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It looks to me like most of them aren't fertile. Usually the eggs that were fertilized will turn a bit darker by the second day. Some look clear through (or is it fungus? lol) which might hatch.

You could take them out but if you leave them in the parents or any tank mates will see them and they will be a tasty treat. Maybe a few will hatch? I would wait and see you might find a few fry from a batch that big.

The parents will lay again in about a month.

If they aren't hatched by 3-4 days they didn't get fertilized. White eggs are covered in fungus which means they either didn't get fertilized or didn't get fanned / enough oxygen. Yours do not look fertile. 10% white eggs is about the most you should see. I'd give it another day or so and if you don't see any eggs with little wiggling tails sticking out of them I'd removed the pot base and clean it

Typically a female will spawn every 2-3 weeks if eggs are not fertilized. It can take several attempts for a pair to get it right
