My honest review of the Fluval 207 Canister Filter.

Overall Impression.

Media.
You have many different types of media to choose from ranging from specific water clarifier/ carbon mixes to ammonia remover, which is very nice for the occasional ammonia spike. (PetSmart often has buy one get one 50% off, so next time you go buy 2 or more for the best for your money)

Water Flow.
the positional nozzle makes it much easier to channel the flow of water where you want it. The circulation is phenomenal, making no excuses to spend extra $$ on powerheads.

Noise.

When buying a filter, noise was very important for my bedroom tank. The 207 is extremely quiet and can not be heard when placed in a cabinet.

Cleaning.

Cleaning the filter is simple. Just take it out and wash the media with tank water during a change.

Pros and Cons.

Pros.
-Filter media is available at most stores.
-Easy to maintain
- Good bang for buck.
-Does the job.
Cons.
-Residue will come out of filter tubing after a clean
-Nozzles can be finicky.

I have one my 88 lt grow out much better than the cheap crap £22 hob which stopped for no reason and causing my tank to re cycle so yes a good little filter

Water clarifiers only make the suspended solids in the water clump together, it is up to the aquarium filter to pick up the dirt and make the water clear. It would be nice if the water clarifier worked quickly, but it should not be my top priority. Thanks for sharing :)
