How long have you had them and would you recommend either of the larger size, 11i, or 14i units with greater flow ratings?
Fluval FX6 enough to filter 180 gallon?

I've had the 700 for about a year, at the advices of a few local fish keepers whom have had them for several years. I just picked up the 500 a few months ago for my 75 and that tank has never been more crystal clear.
There was a member here who also raved about the 500 & 700, but he thought the larger models were not any more effective than the 700.
I'm running an fx5 on my 180g. It's also planted so that helps. Makes my water crystal clear. But I don't have any polishing pads. All bio media. Also no trays in the fx5.

extra filtration always better but your fx6 should of been enough im using a rio1700 pump diy filter on a 120 lolz and my water is crystal clear you figured it out
