Odd that the one you originally thought was p. albofasciatum wasn't? If not, it sure was a different spotted pattern and bigger eyes than most p. blochii I've seen..
If my memory serves, its pattern hasn't evolved into one more defined as in the albofasciatus but rather washed out into more blochii-resque. Big eyes sometimes can be a symptom of a disease or stunting.

After the mahseer group had got a boot from the 1800 gal, our last Amur (male, ~16in) returned to the 1800 gal and now surprisingly has been putting his breeding moves on 12in female 4-line pim blochii catfish:

If it ever came to pass, THAT hybrid would make something like red tail catfish x pangasius catfish look totally normal! Lol!
