has anyone herd of a freshwater flounder? if please give me some info on it if possible. and also will a freshwater flounder be ok in my cichlid tank and my two plecos?

yea it will be ok i had 2 of them with a paroon shark, motoro stingray, 3 payaras my friend has 1 with frontosas

but i got african cichlids. ty much.

I dont know, they should be okay with gravel because they keep to themselves. Just rearrange something so the cichlids will check it out and after they are acclimated, slip em in. I used to catch hundreds of em, and now that i want em i cant find any lol.

they get lost really easily, it was like playing wheres waldo in my 55g with 4 of them. They die easy and actually need slightly brackish water. They are very picky and often starve and die

you need to feed them blood worms and small ghost shrimp when small they also need slightly brackish water

well thanks everyone for tha info. i really appreciate it. u guys shud check out my pics.

The australian freshwater flounder will live in freshwater all its life, but only gets to about 6 inchs. loves live black worms, blood worms, garden worms.

there are bunch of amazonian flounders that are freshwater. you can tell by the price which ones you have. amazonians are usually around 20-40dollars a piece. if you got yours for 2-5dollars, then you have american hogchoker. they usually like brackish water and i would not keep them with active fish because they can starve to death.
