Freshwater jellyfish in Washington?

now i want to go look for them. too bad they are so rare

Bump for an old thread. Going on a jellyfish hunt. Taking mud if I don't see the jellies to see if I can get some to transform from their budding form. Should happen next weekend. Probably Saturday morning. Anybody have a boat? And enough riches to not need gas money? And the desire to find some jellies? With me?

I didn't know we had fresh water jellys here!!^_^ neat.

on another note...given our state laws regarding natives and the rarity of the jellys?....

just saying^_^

They are not even remotely rare. They exist on all continents except for Antarctica. As an invasive species with no potential for threatening anything anywhere, why would they be protected? I don't think I even have to check on this one being legal It's too outlandish to have a law.
