Freshwater Red Snapper?

i figured but the list says "red snapper" which lit up my eyes :)!
then i googled it, and sure enough, it was bad@ss !!!

then come to find out its not really a red snapper ...

:(

anyone keep the real red snapper? that fish is enough to make me want to switch a tank over to SW

I've never seen someone keep one, but the mangrove snappers can get pretty large too and are still an impressive display

The tank would have to be immensely huge! there are other species of SW snapper that do not get as large and are quite colorful. Mangrove jacks are real cool fish and if one has the space, i would say try it out because its a great oddball that not too many keep.
