I read somewhere that nutria is pretty good and quite popular in some areas in the country.

I did a lot of work in South Louisiana and they liked them. They hunted them with weasel type things...mink, genet something. Nutria are pretty nasty rodents when cornered. I think they give you money for the tails

I'm not too sure about the genet as they are not found in this part of the world,unless they are also imported invasives.I bet those nutria can get nasty.They look like they could lay a hurtin on ya with those long orange teeth.
