I'm not sure how much structural integrity would even come into play in a crash as most if not all of the passengers would likely be thrown from the open vehicle.

If they get into an accident they're dead. It compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle.

Hello; Not if it is a body on frame type which I believe the big vans and pickups still are. Wont be too good in a rollover tho.
