With the clown loaches moved to the 210g, the 160g is stating to look like how I would like to have the 370g set up. After the water change tonight I snapped a few lousy pics of the current inhabitants, all destined for the 370g (these pics are the best of a few hundred!). There is also a short video uploading to youtube, I'll post a link once its done.

Does anyone have a better name than the generic "altifrons" that every Geophagus sold under the name surinamensis gets called??

WOW - nice finnage on those geos. The aquascaping looks really nice too.

Looking good, nice specimens.

No definites from me other than them being altifrons. I'd hazard a guess that they're G. altifrons "Manaus" - or possibly a Tapajos variant, but not likely. Considering Australia has some G. altifrons "Manaus" in very limited numbers as well, I'd say that's your best bet.

Thanks, they've probably been captive bred for so many generations trying to claim they are from one particular location might be a bit far fetched, but I'll go with Manaus.......
