The spawning is induced with female hormone as soon as we see the are becoming agitated. its just an extra stimulant to push them over the edge so to speak. breeding time is around march to may depending on the climate.

Thats pretty cool, hopefully I get inject some fish this semester in my aquaculture reproduction class. Are you breeding these for aquaria industry?
