Gar Identification - Post your Gar to be ID'd HERE!!

Yeah I'm sure. Baby Floridas have long and skinny beaks.
Also, it has a baby Florida pattern.
Is hybrid FL X longnose off the table? Apparently very skinny either way. It wont respond to frozen shrimp so i guess im gonna get some feeders and see what happens.
Definitely not a hybrid. Most likely a young longnose but keep us posted.
Not necessarily, check out the Florida museum pages. You would think that one place who knew their gars would be those guys since they are flooded with them in the region. However, for long nose gars of the three pictures they show I think the third one we would all id as a Florida gar. The picture of a Florida gar we may all id as a gator and the two they show as spotted, one may be, the other could turn out to be what we see as Florida. Just shows how easy it is to misidentify, especially when young.
I think it favors a long nose I agree with @Hao Here's my lng to compare with (reverse order to little him)
