I am certain that 2 of my Tapajo are males and one female based on the dorsal fin. My largest is definitely a male based on the way the dorsal forms a streamer. One of my smaller has the start of a streamer and the third has a rounded dorsal. Males typically are more colorful as well. I think I was able to tell before they were 3-4in.When we're you able to start sexing the red heads? I've got a group of 4 and am trying to figure out what I've got. Are these like most other cichlids thag are sexed by dorsal points?
** Absolutely love your setup. The geo bras is my favorite fish currently. Hoping to have a pearl of my own soon. Id like to try one out as a centerpiece fish and surround it with large terta and corys.
