The fry I just brought in to watch grow out look like they are getting smaller compared to the ones I leave out. It’s absurd- it’s like putting them on pause no matter how much I feed and hot much I change the wAter.

Sera O-nip tablets. Stick them to the inside of the tank glass and water movement and feeding fish cause them to disintegrate.

Drained the pond and removed the G. Brasiliensis grow outs. I don't think the pond gets warm enough to stimulate growth. Pulled a -1in juve and most being -1.5in. They are in a bucket in the fish room doing a gradual warm up

When we're you able to start sexing the red heads? I've got a group of 4 and am trying to figure out what I've got. Are these like most other cichlids thag are sexed by dorsal points?

** Absolutely love your setup. The geo bras is my favorite fish currently. Hoping to have a pearl of my own soon. Id like to try one out as a centerpiece fish and surround it with large terta and corys.

I am certain that 2 of my Tapajo are males and one female based on the dorsal fin. My largest is definitely a male based on the way the dorsal forms a streamer. One of my smaller has the start of a streamer and the third has a rounded dorsal. Males typically are more colorful as well. I think I was able to tell before they were 3-4in.

I'm curious about the lack of plants. I realize the silver dollars would eat them but wouldn't the geo appreciate some plants on the parameters (if you did not have silver dollars) ?
