Amazing coloration on these guys - they are amazing. What do you typically feed?
Thanks :) I feed them a mixture of pellets (Xtreme, Hikari gold, Omega One shrimp pellets, Tetra color bits, and O.S.I. spirulina pellets) and freeze dried krills daily, with frozen bloodworms a few times each week as treats. Two 75% wc every week.

very nice peter. im glad you decided to keep those when the tank broke. they look absolutely stunning
It was a tough call which fish to keep but I'm glad too :) Need to move them to a bigger tank though - they are probably around a year old and should be ready to breed soon.

Ok, another question - what's your filtration? Thanks Peter for sharing your awesome collection and knowledge.

no problem :)

It's a 90g tank on a Eheim 2026, a Marineland C360, an XP1 with an inline UV (the three intake tubes on the right), and a Emperor 280 (intake in the middle).

They are a beautiful species Peter. GL on the new tank. ;)

I have to ask though. I forget, how are you keeping any substrate rooted plants in that tank? Is that an onion plant or val? Every tank I try planting, my geos play the game "Lets dig up that green lookin thing and see who can make it float the fastest..". OH's are the worst. I can only keep java ferns and anubias. Lucky.........! :D

Well you are looking at survivors - there were more plants that didn't make it :D The Anubias are tied to dw. The swords and the onions have extensive roots, which I guess makes it possible to keep them down with piles of pebbles.

I really like the onions - super tough and low maintenance. They also fill up the top of the tank.
