8. my sveni was 2 n 1/2 inchs now bout 3 maybe lil bigger xingu 1 was bout 2 grew to bout 5 and venz was like 3 and grew to bout 5
9. sveni so far becuz of his attitude and his rays look metallic
10. got a 10g hospital tank cycling 29g im bout to start cycling and a 55 up and runnin with live plants and bog wood, sexy setup with bout 7 fish in it

3. How long have you been keeping Crenicichla??? off and on the last 4
4. How many pikes do you have? none, but some C. lacustris are due in any day now
5. List all the species that you have. see above!
6. What do you feed them and how many times a day? previous pikes were fed NLS pellets, f/t krill, and red worms, twice a day
7. How long did it take your new pike to color up after you put it in the tank? previous pikes were "Cobra", it took several months to grow them into their red color, other species have taken longer
8. How large were they when you got them, and how much have they grown since you had them? the Cobras were bought at 4", and grew to upwards of 8-9" in a little less than 8 months
9. What is your fav. type of pike? Marmorata
10. What size tanks do you keep your pikes in? large, crowded, algae-ridden and not smaller than 125g

2. Have had tanks for 12 years, really got hooked in the past 5 years (when I bought my first pair of convicts, that spawned the next day)

5. 2x Cr. regani (orinoco), 1x Cr. proteus

6. The regani eat brine, mysis, blackworms, and ghost shrimp. The proteus eats pellets. I feed them as many times as I see them (1-3 times a day)

7. Couple of hours for the proteus, a few minutes for the regani

8. Cr. proteus has gone from 2.5" - 8" in 3 years, regani have gone from 2" - 4" in 1.5 years

9. I love Cr. cincta, one of the best pikes I ever had, just too big at the time

10. proteus is in a 300, regani are in a 75

3. How long have you been keeping Crenicichla??? i had one for at least 7 years, he passed on in 2004

5. List all the species that you have. im not shure yet, waiting to find out from fellow monster fish keepers... :)

7. How long did it take your new pike to color up after you put it in the tank? just got it yesterday, so im not shure yet...

8. How large were they when you got them, and how much have they grown since you had them? it's a juvie only 3"

9. What is your fav. type of pike? not shure yet.

10. What size tanks do you keep your pikes in? 20 gal grow out till i get the 75gal out of storage

1. My name is Nick
2. Been in the hobby about 20 years
3. Been keeping Crenicichla about 3 days
4. I have one pike
5. It is a Lenticulata
6. It likes frozen / FD krill so far. Havent seen it eat anything else yet
7. He is 11" and it took him about 12 hours to settle.

9. My favs I have seen are the Red Tapajos, and the Lenticulata
10. He is currently in a 65g growout, awaiting long overdue arrival of 350g Tenecor 96 x 36 x 24. Should have been here 2 weeks ago. :irked:
