Update on my RTGG, its eaten the very very odd pellet, but as i have to feed my arowana mealworms as thats all it eats, the RTGG will swim absolutely so fast to eat the worms, he has lettuce, but thinking what else can i try? He doesnt like pears or peas. Right now my mealworms are being fed SO much lettuce and carrots and loads of Hikari chiclid gold pellets!

Look I had 4 RTGG's and none of them conformed what Yanbbrox claims or believes. If you listen to Yanbbrox he'll have you believing that Monkeys and GG are both from the same family. And given enough time your GG's will start swinging from branches using there tails. ;)

Banana
Mango
Blueberries
Pomegranate seeds

You could even go for commercial frozen foods, bloodworm, daphina etc, but will be expensive in the long term.

Mine lives off whatever has been reduced in the supermarket grocery dept

Mango's, Blueberries and Pomegranate seeds, will only help to do one thing for your aquarium, foul your filtration system, if left in the water long enough. Listen in most cases animals know what they like and whats better for them, Except Dogs that is, they only think that Chocalate is good for them. But it's the same for people too.

Trust me on this, if your GG only wants to eat cheap little mealworms let it, I used to feed mine Superworms, Waxworms, Earthworms, Bugs and bug grubs, things with legs and without they ate whatever I gave in the insect world. But when it came to greens and fruits they ate Basil, Romane Lettuce, some Parley and Spinch that was it, oh wait they loved aqaurium plants. Other than that they would always eat feeder golds and Killies and snails. And mine went from 2 inchier to 17 through 19 inchier in roughly 18 months. And they had and kept tank mates until they where in there teens - thats inches.

I find that tank simply tank maintenance, gravel vac and a 20% water change a week keeps it fine;)

Your wrong, In the wild ggs swing from tree to tree using their anal fins not their tails;)

There is a thread about it and it's quite long.
