Nice fish you've got there..

You're going to need a huge huge tank when they get to full size;)

Noticed you've got a large bala shark in there, good job you've got red tails our elephant ear finished off our last two in 48 hours :(

No Huge huge tanks for me, thats why I have put them up for sale. I wanna change my Extra-high 180G back into a well planted tank with 100-150 community fish in it. Nothing to worry about anymore, a $12-$15 can or two of fish food will last me a year, maybe more, instead of a few weeks.

Where the only worms I would be feeding out would be black worms as treats, and I could stop by the local petshop for them. Now I use a shovel, in a another year I'll need a backhoe.:screwy:

Plus the Clashes and the battles, with the gallon so of water splashing everywhere would be NO more. The figuring what tank mates can go in with them, and which tank mates they'll rage war on, eat, or that'll be so scared of them that they'll attemp to feed and starve.

My RTGG are beautiful I just want them to be beautiful some where else.

Matt,
Have you tried craigslist?
Just googled for you, we so badly need the same thing over here
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/pet/501214938.html

Yes, I've looked at Craigslist, as well as Freecycle. I can find tanks out there, but I'm not going to commit the money that they normally command. There are lots of other items taking priority. At some point in time the right tank/deal will pop it's head up and I'll nab it. Probably from work, I'm an in-home salesperson and see unused tanks in people's garages all the time, but so far they've been for normal sized fish.

That's handy

Seriously though, I know what you mean, ours has finished off the small dollar today and our discus tank is having problems as well at the moment, fish keeping can be a real pain at times :(

Hope you can find the a good and large home and don't get tempted by that frying pan;)

It's cheaper feeding Gussy than it is my 3 goldfish. I only give him the fruits and vegetables that are just a bit too ripe for us to eat. Not rotten, he won't touch it then. A soft bananna or handful of slightly mushy strawberries turns Mr Grumpy Fish into Mr Happy Fish. When I make a salad and trim off the outside lettuce or celery ends, it goes into the tank, not down the drain.

:ROFL:He did look a grumpy old warrior from your last pics

I agree on the food thing, a lettuce a week keep George going with pellets as well although I'm going to switch to fruit instead as the pellets don't last long.

It gets pretty surreal when the weekly shopping list starts as follows:

Dog food x 7
Cat food x 36
George's lettuce

He's going through another growth spell a the moment, bullying his few remaining tank mates(if you can call them mates) and eating like nothing else.
If he doesn't chill out soon I'll have to find a new home for the myleus's I hate to see them get bullied so much, only 2 left :(

The smallest one he tried finish of last night I had to put out of it's misery, must have been having ago all day, odd as the small one used to hide behind the bogwood for cover and George rarely troubled him. We have a 'let nature run its course' policy here but last night it was upside down at the bottom of the tank for a few hours, eyes clouded over, I tried to keep it going by keeping it upright but George would attack it again and try and slam it into the side of the glass. Only other option would be put it the discus tank which would have been a huge ph swing and it would die or it would survive and kill the discus, no real choice :(:(

Bruce, if the worst came to the worst, hypothetically would you/could you house them?

All these troubles from just one GG/RTGG each guys? I either gotta get rid of them, fry them or mount them before the 4 I have start giving me that many headaches.

All seems a bit quieter in there tonight, fingers crossed.
Going to post a new pic later so you can see the growth rates if any one else is thinking about indulging in this bizarre pastime

Took 28 photos not one worth a post, I'll try again tomorrow. Might go down the video line if that fails

Wife's off tomorrow, I'm working, she's nicked the tv :(
Worse pics of eegg even taken attached, sorry will upload some better ones,

It'll keep lou happy ;)
