ive never heard of the snow white variety before. it looks like its just an albino with a topical name. charlie and andre are leucistic so their eyes are not pink. looks like a healthy fish and thats a great price. they grow fast mine. I got mine in february at 1.5in and by october it was over a foot long

12 Volt Man Big Charlie is very cool, as is Andre. Are they 'snow white' giant gourami? There is one for sale near me, 8" $40. Is that a typical price for a smaller version? How fast do they grow? Is this a nice specimen? Can you confirm it is what it is being offered as? Think it might be nice in my 560gal ray tank....

not sure about the pricing as I am up in Canada. I think Charlie was $19 Canadian as a 1.5 inch juvenile back in 2017. Snow white is just a marketing name etc. A lot of people call them platinum or pink giant gourami. The particular fish is albino as the pupil is red. charlie is pink not albino. His pupils are black. They grow fast. In my experience the pink GG are often very aggressive. It can be hard to mix them with other fish especially as they get huge. the redtail or grey variety seems to be calmer.

I appreciate the feedback mate, thank you. I really don’t want to end up stuck with an aggressive 20”+ beast so I’ll give it a miss then. The main goal in my 560gal is breeding rays so I think I just keep that focus. Thanks for replying

Thanks brutha mate. Appreciate the feedback! As I mentioned to 12volt, I’m gonna give it a miss d/t the possibility of aggressive behavior towards my quad of rays
