Giant Grouper (100% fresh water)

I think fish042099 meant scientific name of the grouper I mentioned( the scientific name has escaped me, im sure oddball knows).

Yeah I tried googling, but nothing came up. I assume it is very rare.
 
Maybe Cromileptes altivelis they are under 2ft. They are brackish to salt I think.
 
I've never tested it but, the white-spotted grouper (Epinephelus summana) has been caught up river where the water is light brackish to fresh and a high pH. The species grows to about a foot.

I would give it a shot if someone could walk me through how slowly i would need to acclimate one.

I was gonig to make some kind of wise comment, like if it dies you went too fast but I decided against it. ;)
