Gold Nugget Growth Rate

I was wondering of those who knows, what is the growth rate on a gold nugget pleco. Right now I have one in a 30 gallon growout tank, that wiull soon have 2 EBJD's,. in the mean time he is in there alone. I say he but i am not sure of the sex. it is areound 2-2.5". i feed it zuchinni (spl) algea pellets, and i allow some algae to grow in the tank (slightly). anywas just wondering how long it would take to get bigger?????

Generally GN's do not grow much once in captivity.

whats the biggest size of a captive one you have heard of ?
a buddy of mine just gave me one as he is moving and sold his tanks
mine is around 2.5-3 inches is size

Biggest one I have seen in captivity was 8" easily. He was caught at that size though.

Mine has grown about an inch in a month and a half. Don't expect him to grow very fast or very large.

I doubt he'll outgrow a 30 in captivity, expect him to reach somewhere between 4-6"

mine is in a 150 atm, hes only 2.5-3 inchs sometimes i cant find him for hours lol he gets lost in there

thanks for the input. i have heard of them being 6" before. but i havent actually talked to anyone who has grown them out.

As far as the tank, i have no room for a larger one. I have recently moved home from college after graduation and have no place to put a larger tank. I currently have a 30 and a 55g, so for now i have him/her in there until i move out again. if i put it in the 55 it will probably be killed by my other fish.

mine is in a 110 gal and he seems to be the same size since i got him ages ago...i mean where is all that food i'm giving him going?!
