Far to many people ignore good advice at the expense of the fish. Glad to see your not one of them! There are very few snakeheads that can ix with others , have you considered channa pleurophthalma ? They require a large tank , reach ~16" in size, best kept in small groups and shouldn't bother fish that are too large to swallow. Also quite an attractive species when they mature.

i am not going to get this particular snakehead because i feel i cannot give it the environment it needs-solo tank, lower temps. hopefully i have grown out of that throught process where i get a fish just because and hope for the best. not good for the fish or me.

however if it was a barca and i could afford it-oh so exspensive-i would definatly make the right conditions for it in a heart beat. hehe
