Good Dither fish for blood parrots?? Guarmis? Bala info??

It is a relative term, but you are being e-tough guys.

Your tank will eventually need to be 55-70 gallons for your stock - the bala.

Bengal danios are a good idea.

Please do not buy any heart blood parrots in future, it is cruelty to chop their tails off or dyed them with heart tattoos. And 30gal tank is not enough room for two blood parrots once they getting a little bigger along with bala shark.

The one inch is a good rule of thumb, but when using that as your decision for fish you also need to think about the nature of the fish. Balas from what I know prefer to be with at least one other bala, more is better. Like previously said, they are very active fish. I know he looks small and kinda darty now, but you will see in say 6 months depending on feeding/maintenance, that they need long distance tanks. Plus, when you see a couple bombing through a 6 footer or longer its a pretty cool sight. I would love to havea 10 foot tank just to see them have an oppurtunity to open their speed up a little

As for the parrots....I actually didn't realize what I had until I got home. I knew I wanted parrots but it was later that I realized they had no tails and went on line and learned what they were. I had wanted the regular ones with tails...but that was my mistake for not noticing...so am keeping them now.

Oh and the Bala really seems quite content being the only one...he loves to play in the bubbles and cruise the tank, seems to like the G's too....

Balas grow very quickly and reach 18'' with the right care. Your tank is overstocked and you need to get rid of the blood parrots and the balas. I know I sound annoyting but it is forthe benefit of your fish. All the fish will outgrow the tank withing 3 months. Also it is gouramis not guarmis.

they hit like 8 inches and then take forever to get larger.

You could do larger tetras.
