I'd be careful of that petsmart center piece you have, i had one and the water gets inside and will start to smell unless you throw a bubbler in it to circulate the water it turn stall inside

My Bichir actually went missing and finally realized he had found his way in there through a tiny hole. I had to take it out of the tank and drill out the ends with some large holes and finally was able to shake him out. He's been fine since and now goes in and out as he pleases lol!

So it seems like in the past several weeks my little tiny GT has doubled in size and REALLY started growing and coloring up! So hard to get a good picture because he won't sit still! He's probably 3.5-4" long now and super thick for his size.

(Colors are so vibrant in person, very washed-out when shooting through tank for some reason.)

Any idea if male/female yet or still too soon to tell?

The patterning on the dorsal and anal fins is making me think male, but it may need to grow a bit more to be certain.

Since he killed the Firemouth, he's really colored up. I think he was stressed from the chasing, had enough, and killed him.....now he's happy. I believe I finally got my male GT!

I swear the GT’s growth has just taken off as well as his colors. I’m 99% sure male. Can’t get a pic showing it but his dorsal fin is starting to get pointed and trail back more and even his face shape looks like he’ll form a hump. Again, hard to see in pictures…just showing his colors here.
