I know that title might sound a little concerning to a lot of you more experienced fishkeepers, but hear me out. I have done some reasearch and i know that GTs live in waters with around a PH of 7, and in hard water, which is not all too dissimilar form the parameters of the rift lakes. anyhow, after a couple of months of reasearch, and some very valuable advice from some forum members, I purchased my GT ( technically gold saum) from my LFS on saturday. so far, he is very lively and has already established his territory in the tank. I just wanted to share my experience thus far, aswell as open myself to any advice from some of the older, wiser members. Thank you and if you have any questions or advice, please ask/share!

I've raised several Green Terrors-
Rivulatus, in my local hard water tap, PH 8.2. No problems.

What variety of Haps do you plan to keep. Fusco, Venustus?

The Tiawan Reef, "one of my favorites" might get knocked around by an adult male Rivulatus.

Depending on the size of the Mbuna, they might be lunch.

No problem with an adult male Venustus.

im not worried abt mbuna, as they are all either melanochromis and a kenyi. as for the taiwan reef, he is just angry at the world so im not too worried. i will take the size aspect into consideration tho. forgot to mention that i also have a breeding pair of convicts and an OB peacock if that matters.

OB Peacocks & Convicts as well as a malee Kenyi can take care of themselves.

Here's a pic of the best Rivulatus I ever kept. He was a brute.

that my friend, is a spectacular specimien of a green terror. was he as gressive as the name would suggest, or was he a pushover as some others have reported. (mine is a male btw)

He was a killer. Here's a pic of him in the process of killing his long time 9 inch Jack Dempsey tankmate.

I kept that Rivulatus for many years. One of my favorites.

Btw, Your GT looks really good.
