Green Terror / Blue Acara, are they nearly identical???

never been able to see why people get so confused with them, its probably because ive owned both from about 1.5" long.
saying that, what pyramid party said about head shape is a winner imo if you do have trouble. also look at the scales being far less shiny and numerous on an acara along with the orange banding on the dorsal being much thinner and the tail banding being extremely thin to almost non-existant on a lot of them.

heres a pic of my old male 5" blue acara, and my old male green terror at 8", they look nothing alike.

when young the easiest way to tell imo, is acara will not have any orange banding on the tail fin.

The damn joker at the LFS said it was a blue acara and it would grow up to look just like:


He showed me a fish identical to this as the adault example. Bloody LFS liars!!!

lol, i used to work at a lfs, not going to name any names, but i know what your saying, they never pulled any bs like that, but their are plenty that do just to make a quick buck.
