Do any of u have any green terrors that actually hide.Just curious because, mine never hides, under the shelter i provide him,he is constanly out.(im not complaining)Im thinking about just making it a bare tank(no hides).whats ur opinions.

Mine doesn't hide either. I mean he goes around some plants and other stuff, but it doesn't like sit behind something and hide. Besides when i'm changin the water he is a scaredy cat then and hides while his mate the acara will attack me even though she's 2 inches compared to him being 4.

Idk about the whole bare tank idea, I think the terror will just be to scared having nothing to hide around. I mean even if he never hides he will want something to swim around and explore, not just a tank with nothing. Would you want you bedroom to have nothing in it, I highly doubt it. I don't have alot of things in my tank a few fake plants af ew rock formations that I made and thats about it, it does the job though.

I've only had one that didn't hide all the time as a juvie. She was a beauty too. All my other ones have done their best to stay hidden untill they grew out a bit. Considering how big and pushy these guys get it's quite a shift in personality between juvie and adult.

my gt was always out, even when the acara tried to kill him when the gt was 1.5" long. he just took the beating and plodded along till i rehomed the acara.

My little girl never hid at all. Always smashing the glass when I came near. She was awesome but my cat got at her and ate half of her and left the rest under the couch. Was so pissed! Anyways she was always out even when the lights were out.

mine never hides. thats probably because he's in a tank thats almost bare!! :) but i dont think GTs are skittish fish that like to hide all day
