Hi everbody.I haven't seen a sticky thread about it so i am starting this thread. So anyone sees it and leaves their grooming tips it would be great for new hobbyists and anyone who wants to learn about how to properly groom a fish :)
1-For example I take a 10 gallon bucket and sunbathe my 2 inch to 10 inch fish 2 times a week

Interesting..... why not just keep the tank in a room with lots of natural light? Or is direct light required for "bathing"?

Direct sunlight to a aquarium isn't really recommended.Plus through glass uv is reduced. But you can use uva/uvb lighting instead of outdoor sunbathe

They said indirect natural sunlight would be good to pop up their colours and pearls. some part of the day i would just leave the door and windows open enough to light up the tank. i would do this for 15-30min about 2times a day.
His diet is also a major role in grooming. i would mix a variety of diffrent pellets and cooked foods like peas and chicken heart once a week. water should be clean. Another thing is to make ur fh active all the time, other means is moving all the time. in other terms, to exercise them a bit.. and also aggression. make them own the tank. mine would bit my hand even when im doing water chnge. and the mirror or parrot method is also reccomended but tht depends on the fh size.
Tank setup, bare bottom is the best for easy maintenance. and a blue background. too bright aquarium light is not really good cuz it can stress ur fish.
However there are other diffrent methods tht hobbyists come up by their own. for example, some hobbyists groom their 9.9kamfa mostly using bloodworms, some use green water to pop the pearls(which im not sure why).
Dont sunbathe ur fish, taking out them out of their tank is really2 stressful. just use indirect sunlight for pearls. its good enough.
Mine in just 1month grooming.

This is his own single 33gallon tank. smaller tank for fry is best. too big tank can make them insecure and get stress. im feeding him okiko platinum and hikari sticks for now
