Sorry I'm way too sick :barf:tonight to do any research on this beast. But what I can say of it's more common name is it shares the first part of it's name with much much larger four legged mammal. I think that I may have just given it away but if not and I don't feel any better by this time tomorrow I'll hand it over to you Vicious_fish.

If you want to give a helpful hint that will help narrow it down then tell us what island/country it's native to. I swear every island in the Caribbean has 20 different species of anoles!

Ok this is probably going to give it way, though when I did a search for the beast using both common and latin names I drew a blank. There founder in a country in South America.
