Guess what kind of Reptile

good job. does anyone know if these are ever kept as pets, they look really interesting.
theyre the smallest known species of monitor lizard, just so everyone knows, and they spend daylight hours underground.

i think i new requirement of posting a pic should be to give a few interesting facts about the animal, that way we learn something. in my opinion these threads are too much "search google till i find something i've never seen before and then not forget the scietific name"
does everyone agree?

that thing is so fing cool! i wish my back yard was in indonesia! its a lizard for sure not to sure on the species. try searching almost legless lizard. where did you find him?
 
I did a quick search on the web, and I think its a type of a skink, well, just to let you know, I found a few of them before, but in a different time in my back yard, then I let them go (I guest its better for them). They are not easy to find though, I guess its not easy to keep them anyway as a pet. The one that I found on those pictures was about 5", its body is really soft, found it on a piece of rock in the yard. Anyway, I let it go again, so its free ...
