For some reason I can't view the pix and it's driving me crazy :0

Hi Maseer and welcome, i have noticed that sometimes it takes a little bit after you get your 5th post to be able to see or post pics, I don't know why but hang in there, maybe logging out then back in will do the trick.

Vince, giant diano was actually one of the first fish I looked at but the color is off, the mouths are a little different and the diano's body is deeper.

I want fugupuff's answer before I dig deeper but I am not at all sure of my guesses.

Hey RTF, what was your guess?

OK, now I can see the pix! Wes, your cyprinid powers are fading fast, you better come up with some good ones to stump me :)

I say it's one of the Indian razor belly minnows also called glass barbs. Genus may be Chela. Parachela or Salmostoma. I'm gonna guess Salmostoma, but since there are almost no pix online I can't prove it. -jason

I thougt about the various razor bellies but it seems that they have coarser scales and might be a little small (aren't those tinfoil bards with it in Fugupuffs pics?)
There are so many fish that fit the general shape and color that my eyeballs are aching.
The things I am using to narrow down the field are the fine scales, the golden refractory color band, and the angle of the mouth.
