The middle one is also a pinfish, or at least posted as one. I included the middle one because it was a color phase I had never seen, I thougt it was a grunt as well but the yellow lines and spine count seem to match as does the mouth shape. It is the Lagodon rhomboides, It gets to 40cm., lives from Massaschutes to the Yucatan, Lives in slow weedy waters inland, brackish reed marshes, and full salt, shoaling in turtle grassbeds, has been known to breed in all three environments. I thougth they were salt too and did not know they got bigger than 15cm.
