Gymnogeophagus Terrapurpura Growout!

What plant is that floating in your 55G tank?

I was wondering the same. It’s like a duckweed, but a fern. It’s clumpey, and probably an inch and A half thick.

Where did you get it? If bought at a store, why not ask the name of it?

At a pond shop. It’s kind of big. Like, 100,000 gallons of ponds with koi. I asked the guy, and he said it was some kind of floating fern. It’s all over in the smaller tubs

Added 3 Flagfish for hair algae. The vibrant fins are so captivating ?‍?. This is the same dominant male. They are now just reaching an inch and a half or so.

Hair algae is tough in a glass tank that doesn’t stay in the shade. If you get much direct sunlight you need massive quantity of plants in order to really beat the algae. The flagfish were a good move/ another interesting occupant for your glass pond - and those gymnos are so funny to watch do there thing. Tons of attitude.
